1. FILE FORMATS

 

a) Which formats can I download from the website?

Currently you can download either .rns (reason song files) .logic (logic pro files) and .als (Abelton Live files). You can download all available formats described on product pages (.RNS .Logic .als etc).

 

b) When will you offer more formats? (I.E Cubase, Nuendo, etc)?

We will offer additional formats when we contract with producers that produce tracks using those formats. We strive for quality regardless of format. At this time, our team of producers only use the four formats we currently have available (Reason, Fl Studio, Logic & Ableton). We are currently seeking producers who produce in other formats. If you produce in these formats, and have work that would be a good fit, then please contact us

c) Do I need third party plugins for these files?

No.  We want to be sure that everyone can use them straight out of the box, so our engineers only use the software's native plugins. In cases where third party plugins are required, we will list which plugins you need to have installed, and provide a link for you to purchase them. However, in all cases where third party plugins are used, we will always sample the instrument so you will have the sound. we will also provide the midi file so you can recreat it within your software.

d) Are any samples used in these files?

While our producers to use only native instruments for most everything, in some cases, they will use drum hit samples and in some cases even sweep samples. The fact is, the producers making the big tracks you hear do in fact use sample here and there. Our goal is to show you exactly how a pro producer completes a track and that is why we allow them to use small samples within the templates. However, they will always only be a small part.


e) What is a third party plugin?

A plugin is simply a tool (such as a synth, compressor, reverb etc.) that has been created by a third party company to be used in the various platforms available (i.e. logic, cubase, protools fruityloops etc).

f) Why do some files cost less than others?

Because some files may only be a "half song" or even a 64 bar loop.

 

FAQS REGARDING PURCHASING AND RECEIVING DOWNLOADS

a) I paid using using Paypal or Credit Card, but I didn't receive a download in my email. What should I do?

To get your links automatically, you have to press the “CONFIRM ORDER” button at the end of the purchasing process. After pressing this button, you will be taken to the Paypal secure payment center. Once you enter your paypal info, your download links will be emailed to you. If you've forgot to press this button, don't worry, just try your order again.

b) I pressed the right button, got the confirmation from Paypal and still have no keys emailed. What shall I do?

A purchase-confirmation from Beatelite.com is generated automatically. Some mail servers may identify such email as the dreaded EVIL SPAM. It's good to have our main email address stored in your address book. Otherwise, if you have a problem with receiving mail while using a common email client such as Hotmail or Yahoo, you can look in your bulk/junk folder and probably retrieve our email from there. However, if you use a mail service that, for some reason, still doesn't receive our emails, you have to create email ex. on Yahoo and send us your new email address at . We will then send your keys to the new mailbox as soon as possible.

 

C) I checked junk mail and it's still not in there. How can I download the files?

Sometimes, it's possible that you did everything right and, for some reason, the system didn't send you a link(s) to download. There is an easy way around this.

Click " My account" located at the top of any page

Clck on "downloads" and all of your available files will be there waiting for you. 










3. DOWNLOADING


a) How does downloading work?

Once you select the tracks you want, simply click on "cart" from our menu and then click " check out.”  Once you enter your payment method and your payment was confirmed, you will receive an email with a linkl for each download pack. Downloads expire after a set time and you will receive 5 attempts to download.  If you need assistance with obtaining an extention, please email us

 

b) I lost by hard drive. Can I replace my download?

Send us an email with your original order number and name and we will give you a new download link. 

c) I work on MAC -  is there any problem with that?

No. But you have to download a ZIP file. You shouldn't have any problem extracting ZIP files with Stuffit.

 

 

4. WHAT ARE REWARD POINTS?

Points are simply credits or virtual cash that you earn by buying our tools. They can be redeemed on our checkout pages to lower your cart’s overall price.

 

What is 1 point worth?

 One point in our store is equal to $1.00

 

What does “ Price in Points” mean?

This means that you can buy this product with amount of points it states, as long as your account has enough.

 

How do I earn points?

Easy. When you buy anything from us, we give you points. Sometimes, we give them for prizes, apologies or as a thank you. You can use them anytime and on any product.

LICENSING

This is the simplified version of our user license. please read the full user license agreement for all things you can and cannot do.

a) What is a standard license?

A standard license is for a purchaser who plans to use the purchased track for a project they will develop for personal use, or for a client who has contracted with you on a project. In this case, you may use the original song template or a modified version as follows:

1.      on a website

2.      in an electronic document such as a PowerPoint presentation

3.      as part of software you create

4.      in a video production

5.      in a music track  (must give credit on album to the original engineer)

Note that with the standard license, if you export the original- unmodified song, you are restricted to one application.

For example: You may incorporate the Original Song Template into a commercially available software program that you or your clients distribute. An unlimited number of copies of the software program may be made and sold but the Original Song Template cannot be incorporated into more than one software program or other work. Additionally, buyers of the software program must not offer the Original Song Template for sale.

b)What is an extended license?

 

In addition to rights acquired under the standard license, the purchase of an extended license entitled you to  license, sub-license, sell or resell the Original Song Template, with no restriction on the number of usages made. Extended License are typically 4 times the cost of the standard license.

c) Are the purchased tracks royalty-free?

Yes, all samples, midi files and arrangements are royalty free (with the exception of platform packaged samples I.E Logic samples etc), for legal users, when used together in the original work or in a modified project .

d) Can I export the original song the way it is and sell it as my own?

While the songs are meant to be starting points, under the standard license, you can export the song and sell it for certain uses (i.e. for use in web template you've created for commercial purposes). You may also export the original song and sell it as your own creation on an album or CD, but you must credit the Original Engineer. The Engineer's contact information can be found in the "YOUR LICENSE" file that came packed within the .ZIP file you downloaded from our store.  For more details on what you can and cannot do with the song templates, please read our licensing agreement here.

 

e) Can I modify the template and sell the exported song file as my own?

Yes, if the Song Template is altered or incorporated into another project, there is no restriction on the number of copies of that work that can be reproduced and distributed. While you can take credit for musical production, you still must credit the original Engineer. The Engineer's contact information can be found in the "READ ME" file that came packed within the .ZIP file you downloaded from our store. f) Can I sell the template as my own template on your site or another site?

If you purchased a Standard license: No.  You have purchased a single user license for life, and it is not transferable. You may not sell the original song template or sub-license either - doing so is breaking the law and we will have to hunt you down and do unspeakable things.




g) Are the free tracks royalty-free?

Yes, however, you may not export individual samples or midi files and sell them (such as in a sample pack or as a sound effect).

 

h) Who else can use the templates (or the sounds within them) that I have purchased?

 

If You purchase a Standard License:  Only you. Unless, of course, they also purchase the same product/license from us. Only the original purchaser has the right to use the sounds commercially.  If you do give or sell the songs to someone else, and they use the sounds within a commercial release, then they will have to pay royalties to Beatelite.com and our engineers (and maybe our pets too).

If you purchased an Extended License: You may resell the template as you wish. However, you cannot sell the individual samples within them as an individual file (i.e. in a sample pack, etc).

 

i) Can I place the song files or samples on a torrent or file sharing network?

 We'll spare you the sob story of how purchasing from us legally gives our hard working artists money for food, clothes, and diapers for their kids, and we'll just say hell to the no.

 

REFUND INFORMATION

a) I don't like the song template I've downloaded.  Can I get my money back?

While we pride ourselves on quality, we understand that sometimes a file may not work for you. In that case, refunds are available within 2 weeks after purchase, but only if the product wasn't downloaded. Once you've logged in with a key into download-zone you are not eligible for a refund for this product.

b) I paid for a file, but I didn't start the download – I just changed my mind.  Can I get my money back?

Yes, if you didn't log into  the download-zone your transaction can be canceled and you will be refunded your money.

c) I logged into the download zone but have issues with downloading or unpacking files.  Can I get my money back?

If you are not able to download or unpack files, please inform us via email () about this and we will provide an alternative download method and a way for you to unzip the files. Alternatively, we will send you a CD/DVD.

 

 

OTHER ISSUES

 

a) Is your site secure?

Absolutely! We have an SSL certificate (that uses https://) during our log in and check out phase. Also, we use Paypal as our trusted payment gateway. We do NOT host or store your credit card or bank information on our site. You can read more about this in our site user agreement here.

 

b) I paid twice for a file by mistake.  Can you cancel one transaction?

Yes of course second transaction will be cancelled immediately if we see a double transaction for the same pack.

 

c) I don't like the pack, and even though I downloaded from the download-zone, I am going to just file a fraudulent complaint with Paypal to get my money back.

Nice try, but It does not work. Paypal will not refund money or accept complaints on downloadable products.  Be sure you are ready to commit to purchasing.

d) My download keeps timing out or it corrupts my file. What do I do?

Contact us and we will find a fast way of getting you the file online.

e) I don't see my question answered here.  How can I reach someone?

 Please deposit $500 into our PayPal account and we will answer any question. JUST KIDDING! We love our peeps and will answer any question you might have. Simply email us  on our contact us page and we will repsonds as soon as possible. Please note: we are based in Seattle Washington in the United States of America. We are only availabe to answer emails between the hours of 9am to 10pm Pacific Standard Time
